Ms. Mwape gave out chitenge materials and other clothing to expectant mothers in the maternity wing as new year gifts. Ms. Mwape told the Daily Nation in an interview that the donation was meant to help out women who are the most vulnerable in society. “I have donated clothes as a way to appreciate and help out expectant mothers in one way or the other. Women are the most vulnerable in society hence the need to help them,” Ms. Mwape said. The Mkushi North law maker said she will continue helping women in various spheres of life for better life and development.
