Tue, 26 Sep 2017 13:38:47 +0000 By Jossy Chaima POLICE IN Mufulira have arrested a 59-year-old man of Zimba Compound for allegedly defiling his two granddaughters, Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga has confirmed. Ms Katanga said the incident happened on Saturday around 13 hours after the girls’ mother sent them to take vegetables at their grandfather’s place. Ms Katanga said but while at his residence, the man allegedly defiled the girls, 7 and 9, years old respectively. She said the children’s mother reported the matter to Butondo Police station and the man was arrested. He is presently in police custody. “We have a defilement case in Mufulira where a man of Zimba compound defiled his two granddaughters. The matter was reported to police by the mother of the girls and the man was arrested,” she said.
