Wed, 23 Nov 2016 12:11:21 +0000 CONSTRUCTION works on Lolanda water treatment plant in Kafue are progressing well and are expected to be completed before the scheduled time, Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company (LWSC) public relations officer, Tospy Sikalinda, has said. Mr Sikalinda said the works, which were commissioned in July this year, were progressing well on the banks of Kafue River because the contractor doing the job was serious. ‘‘So far we have started the construction of the water intake on the banks of the Kafue River and our teams are currently marking the route for the pipe that will run from Kafue to Lusaka which is about 65 kilometres long and the contractor is scheduled to finish the works in August 2018, but the contractor is trying hard to beat the deadline,” said Mr Sikalinda.
