Tue, 02 May 2017 09:38:25 +0000 By MUKOSELA KASALWE THE Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company will construct 2,000 toilets in Matero’s Kapwepwe ward in collaboration with owners of the houses who are expected to contribute 50 percent of the bill, says Patriotic Front councillor Patrick Salubusa. Mr Salubusa said the project was under the supervision of the Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company and that owners of the houses or toilets to be erected would be required to make a 50 percent contribution towards the initiative. He said a site for the demonstration of toilets in Desai was underway and that 24 people from the community would be involved in building the toilets and that they would include eight local bricklayers, eight youths and eight women as helpers, saying the project required manpower from within the ward as a means of youth and women empowerment.
