The caution comes barely a few days after 44 Copperbelt University-CBU- Lecturers were interrogated in Kitwe for unlawful confinement of vice Chancellor Professor Naison Ngoma whom they accused of failing to manage the University. Professor Luo sounded the warning in Lusaka on Saturday during a stakeholders’ consultative meeting to deliberate on corrective measures that would bring sanity to the two public Universities, University of Zambia (UNZA) and Copperbelt University (CBU). She noted that the role of unions in public universities was increasingly becoming questionable.
