Luangwa district health director, Hardington Siwale confirmed the outbreak and said that four health posts had established the outbreak of the disease. Dr Siwale said that the disease was reported in Kasinsa which recorded 16 cases, Chitope had one, Mangelengele six and Luangwa Boma had four. “The outbreak is not severe and that so far only 27 people had been affected by the disease which hit the district last week. We have not recorded any deaths so far,” said Dr. Siwale.
