Speaking in an interview to review the year 2016 in film and theater, Chalwe said we as a country has moved to a level of telling our own stories through film but there was need for more corporate involvement to grow the industry. “We had a good year 2016 in terms of film productions,” he says. “We saw a good number of local productions telling stories typical of Zambia. We saw films on gender-based violence, films on health issues and films on various social concerns typical to Zambia and Africa.
