Southern Province commissioner of police Bonny Kapeso said said his men managed to corner Gilbert Sikanda after he fled following stabbing his wife Mulambo on the neck and who later died. Mr Kapeso confirmed to the Daily Nation that Sikanda was arrested on Sunday night and was currently admitted at Batoka Hospital after he attempted to commit suicide. “The murder suspect in Livingstone was arrested last night (Sunday) and is admitted to Batoka Hospital after he attempted to commit suicide when he took poisonous substance,” said Mr Kapeso.
