Speaking when he launched the Wusakile Royal Women Empowerment Scheme at St Francis Catholic Church yesterday, Mr Kalobo said it was important to empower women as the community benefits more from their works. He thanked Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) for the support rendered to the women through the donation of sewing machines. Mr Kalobo said the entrepreneurship activities that women carry out in society was meant to raise money for their families and the tailoring and peanut butter-making skills they were learning would go a long way in sustaining their households.
