The solar powered mills programme is a presidential initiative aimed at reducing the price of mealie-meal in the country. Kalumbila district commissioner Robinson Kalota confirmed the development to the Daily Nation in an interview. “I want to report to the people of Kalumbila district that we have received ten solar powered hammer mills in terms of allocation, and this a program under the presidential initiative,” Kalota said.
