Speaking during the commissioning of Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company’s Kabanana water supply improvement project yesterday, Mr Kaziya said that the project was a reflection of the Government’s commitment to ensuring adequate access to clean and safe drinking water for the less privileged people in peri-urban areas. The minister said that it was unacceptable that most people did not have adequate access to clean and safe drinking water. “I am reliably informed that this project funded at a cost of 1.8 million will provide portable water to an estimated 22, 000 residents of Kabanana compound.
