Giving an update on cholera statistics during a media briefing in Lusaka yesterday, Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya said the Ministry would soon issue a compressive statement to ascertain the cause of the new cholera cases in the compound. Dr Chilufya said a team of health inspectors were already on the ground to determine the cause of the new outbreak noting that the compound had adequate water collection points. He questioned why some people in the compound had continued drawing water from shallow wells.
