Zambian Agriculture and Rural Development Initiatives (ZARDI) has since taken a proactive approach to actualise Zambia’s agricultural potential, by encouraging more farmers to engage in various farming activities and diversify the sector. ZARDI executive director Gilbert Mpanga said farmers were still in need of more knowledge and sensitisation if they were to contribute to economic development in the agriculture sector. He said his organisation was targeting farmers that were willing to engage in various activities to increase their productivity.
