Director of Census and Statistics John Kalumbi said the census is expected to last for a month and that households should help the government and the ministry collect the data. Speaking when he presented the December monthly bulletin held in Lusaka last Friday, Mr Kalumbi said training of all field staff is underway in provincial centres, adding that immediately after the training, the exercise will commence. “We are soliciting for cooperation from selected households to facilitate the collection of data since this livestock census will provide the bench mark upon which future surveys will be conducted,” he said.
