Mon, 29 May 2017 11:21:48 +0000 By ROGERS KALERO COUNCIL workers countrywide have launched a ‘Black Friday’ campaign aimed at pressing Government to centralise the payroll system of all council workers in the country, Zambia United Local Authorities Workers Union (ZULAWU) deputy general secretary Emmanuel Mwinsa has said. Mr Mwinsa said the ‘Black Friday’ campaign was aimed at pressing Government to address challenges facing the local authorities, especially the need for Government to centralise the payroll system of all council workers around the country. “The ‘Black Friday’ campaign also seeks to press Government to increase funding to councils to enable them improve service delivery and conditions of service for their workers,” Mr Mwinsa said.
