Bishop Munampelu said therefore that President Edgar Lungu needed to be supported as he had shown enormous effort to bring about unity in Zambia. He said the church stood more than ready to work with the Government and commended President Lungu for his determination to ensure that Zambia was united through peace. The clergyman pledged the Church of God’s continued support for the Government of the day and that there could not be any meaningful development without peace and reconciliation.
