Sat, 10 Dec 2016 12:06:01 +0000 TEN trainees in Kitwe have been engaged to help with the disbursement of the E-voucher visa cards to more than 9,000 farmers in the area in preparation for this farming season, an agricultural expert has said. Kitwe district agricultural coordinator Raphael Muyaule said the 9,000 farmers are scheduled to receive the farming inputs through the electronic system. ZANIS reports that Dr Muyaule said in an interview yesterday that preparations have reached an advanced stage and that farmers will start receiving their cards in the coming week. He said at least 9,055 farmers will benefit in the district from the E-voucher system, adding that ‘‘despite the claims that it has been late the beauty of the system will give farmers an opportunity to decide which seed or variety to plant’’ this season.
