Wed, 31 Jan 2018 10:53:56 +0000 By JUSTINA MULENGA FOUR youths alleged to have intercepted 21 trucks laden with Mukula logs in Shimabala area on the Lusaka-Kafue highway yesterday pleaded not guilty in the Lusaka Magistrates’ court to one count of theft contrary to the laws of Zambia. The quartet appeared before Magistrate Ruth Kapulo for plea. In this matter, it is alleged that on December 29th 2018, Venny Musonda, 29, Augustine Mukuka, 29, Robson Chipili, 30, and Fanny Zimba 34, all businesspersons of Lusaka, jointly and whilst acting together did steal K17, 000, USD 1, 300 and a cellphone altogether valued at K36, 000 the property of ZAFFICO. The court has set March 7th and 9th 2018 as trial dates as the accused’s police bond have been extended.
