The event which is scheduled to take place from 26 to 31 July, would be graced by President Edgar Lungu. And Luapula Province minister Nickson Chilangwa has acknowledged the receipt of cheques worth K655,000 from the sponsors towards the hosting of the event. The sponsors include GED Zambia, SEEDCO, ASHTROM, ZAMTEL, Professional Insurance, Zambian Breweries, Indo Zambia Bank, Trade Kings and MMRP Mining of Kenya. Other Companies are Nava Bharat, Mansa Sugar, Sunbird Biofuel Africa and Kamil Petroleum, among others. “Yesterday (Friday) GED Zambia presented to Luapula Members of Parliament (MPs) a cheque of K200, 000 with SEEDCO giving another cheque of K250, 000.
