Fri, 09 Feb 2018 10:54:38 +0000 By KALOBWE BWALYA THE Lusaka fast track court last month convicted 12 people for driving under the influence of alcohol, Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) public relations manager Mukela Mangolwa has said. In an update statement to the Daily Nation on last month’s road traffic offences, Mr. Mangolwa said a total of 12 people were convicted in the Lusaka Fast Track Court for traffic offences and driving under the influence of alcohol. Mr Mangolwa said the agency will continue to target drunk driving, excessive speeding, use of mobile phones whilst driving and failure to use the seat belt in its enforcement and education campaigns. He emphasised on the need for drivers to ensure that they adhered to use of seat belts and car safety gadgets for children to safeguard lives.
