PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says cashew nut farming is a game changer for Zambia.And President Lungu has urged farmers in Western Province to grow cashew nuts alongside other crops because it will allow them to have another source of income as they wait for them to mature.President Lungu said the cashew nut crop is a high value crop that will create jobs for many Zambians.The head of state said this during the launch of the cashew nut 2020 planting season and distribution of six million cashew seedlings in Sefula area of Western Province.And a local farmer, Singalamba Munyinda who is a beneficiary of the Cashew infrastructure development project said she has already started seeing the benefits of growing cashew nuts.Mrs Munyinda said she will now be able to take her children to school and fend for the familyWhilst in Sefula, President Lungu also toured fish ponds belonging to Muziwanjimo Cooperative group.During the tour, President Lungu said […]
