By KALOBWE BWALYAONE man has died on the spot, while two have survived with severe injuries following the collapse of a building they were working on in Libala’s Katungu area in Lusaka.A check by the Daily Nation on the scene, found a team of Zambia Airforce (ZAF), a rescue team from Lusaka City council (LCC) Fire brigade, Zambia police and some members of the community helping to retrieve the body and rescue the two men who were trapped under the building.And Lusaka Permanent Secretary Elias Kamanga has since summoned Lusaka City Council town Clerk Alex Mwansa and the engineers from LCC to submit the report concerning the safety of the building.Mr Kamanga who was accompanied by Lusaka District Commissioner David Silubanje also questioned the credibility of the engineers and wondered why the engineers from LCC were not taking assessment of the rubble.Mr Kamanga said it is unfortunate that a life has been lost in such […]
