By PETER SICHALITWO PF cadres have been arrested in Kasama for allegedly damaging a motor vehicle belonging to Mr Jairos Simbeye.The vehicle Registration number ABT 375 was painted in UPND colours.Police spokesperson, Esther Katongo, identified the two suspects as Jannie Yambayamba and Witson Mutanda.Ms Katongo said the incident occurred yesterday at 10:00 hours in Kasama outside Shoprite in the town centre.Mr Simbeye and his friend were about to come out of Shoprite when a group of people in PF regalia surrounded their motor vehicle painted in UPND colours.“Upon seeing the group, they went back in the shop but one of them only identified as Gideon was recognised and followed by the group who assaulted him and he sustained injuries,” Ms Katongo said.Ms Katongo said the group later damaged the motor vehicle.She said the suspects were apprehended and would be charged appropriately.She said during the same confusion, Janny Yambayamba 34, the suspect in the case of […]
