Democratic presidential candidate Joe Bidden has named Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate.The daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants is Biden’s pick for vice-president.She becomes the first Black person to be selected as a running mate for a major party candidate.As a child, she spent time in Zambia with her grandfather who served as an ambassador.Ms Harris will debate Mr Trump’s running mate, Vice-President Mike Pence, on 7 October in Salt Lake City, Utah.
