By ANDREW MUKOMAAN assault case involving Alliance for Community Action executive director Laura Miti and her deputy Bonwell Mwewa has been adjourned to next month after the accused failed to appear in court.Livingstone Magistrate, Michael Mulalelo, has set July 20, as a date for commencement of defence for the two accused persons, who were previously found with a case to answer.The follows an adjournment made in the chambers after the two accused persons’ lawyers applied to move the case to a later date.The duo was found with each a case to answer for the offence of assaulting a police officer.It is alleged that on the December 21, last year at Livingstone Central Police Station Miti and Mwewa arrived at the police around 23:00 hours and requested to see Fumba Chama, alias Pilato, who was at the time detained in police cells.But the duo was advised they would only be allowed to see the suspect the […]
