By SILUMESI MALUMOSOME people in Chibombo are ignorant about the outbreak of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).Residents of Situmbeko and other areas yesterday expressed shock that there was an outbreak of a pandemic they had never heard about.This came to light when Patriotic Front ( PF ) Central Province vice chairperson, Charity Kapona, donated 15 hand wash facilities and sanitisers in Situmbeko, Kabangalala, Chilo, and Kabile areas in Katuba constituency.Ms Kapona was shocked that some people were not aware of the deadly pandemic which was sweeping across the globe.She took time during the donation to sensitise the people on how they could prevent the spread of the pandemic.Ms Kapona told residents that Government had put in place measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.“We need to ensure that we put on face masks, wash hands regularly and observe social distancing which are some of the ways to prevent the deadly disease,” she said.Ms Kapona said Covid-19 was […]
