By BENNIE MUNDANDO IT is unfortunate that while Government closed schools to combat the spread of the Coronavirus, children are roaming the streets without caution, Monze District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) Webster Mwiinga has said. Mr Mwiinga expressed concern that parents were not exercising necessary preventive measures such as avoiding crowding as children were on the loose, unconcerned about the current health threat. He said the essence of sending school children home was to minimise contacts and not to send them roam the streets and advised parents to be watchful of the whereabouts of their children. This is contained in a statement made available to the Daily Nation yesterday by Monze Town public relations officer, Kanchele Kanchele. “Parents should put up strict measures that will prevent their children from moving aimlessly and avoid any chances of catching the dreaded Covid-19,” Mr Mwiinga said.
